Who is Liwa
Capital Advisors.

Our team's investment experience spans more than four decades of market cycles, including senior roles at sovereign institutions. Today, market data, cited research, and institutional knowledge come together in AI-assisted workflows that broaden the team's field of view. Humans challenge, interpret, and decide.

Khalifa Al Kindi and Hashim Kudsi met inside the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and spent the following three decades on the allocating side of the table, at ADIA and at the Abu Dhabi Investment Council. They founded Liwa in 2017 to do that same work for a wider set of investors.

Liwa Capital Advisors was created to bring institutional-grade portfolio allocation to a wider investor base, combining global access with deep investments insight. Through its own funds, Liwa allocates capital to fund managers worldwide, offering investors diversified, liquid and private alternative strategies that are typically out of reach.

What the partnership covers

Venture capital and private equity fund investing: sourcing, diligence, commitment, and the ongoing reporting that follows a fund for a decade after the wire goes out.

Why it works

Access to top-tier US venture and buyout managers is a relationship business, and relationships are built in one place over a long time. Selby Lane brings the Silicon Valley end; Liwa brings the institutional allocator discipline and the Gulf investor base.

How investors see it

One set of vehicles, one reporting cycle, and a single schedule of investments reconciled across both teams each quarter.

The investment approach

One portfolio.
Three ways of seeing.

Economic conditions, geography and manager skill. Each brings a different question to the same allocation.

The allocation lenses Economic balance
MANAGER SKILLSET SELECT · MONITOR · QUESTION GEOGRAPHIC BREADTH ECONOMIES · CURRENCIES ASSET CLASSES ECONOMIC BALANCE Growth ↑ Inflation ↑ Growth ↑ Inflation ↓ Growth ↓ Inflation ↑ Growth ↓ Inflation ↓
Different questions. A shared portfolio. Conceptual illustration

What if conditions change?

Consider more than
one economic future.

Growth and inflation each rise and fall. Economic balance considers how portfolio exposures behave across those different environments.

Where does the risk actually sit?

Look beyond the
familiar market.

Countries, currencies and asset classes bring different exposures. This lens asks whether a portfolio depends too heavily on one economy or market.

Who is doing the investing?

Make the choice.
Keep questioning it.

Specialist managers are selected against a documented framework and monitored over time. The reason for each allocation should remain clear.
